Transparency in Coverage
Transparency in Coverage regulations require health insurers and group health plans to create machine readable files that contain the negotiated rates for in-network providers and allowed amounts derived from historical claims for out-of-network providers and make those files publicly available. A machine readable file is a document with content that can be readily processed by computers and displayed in a standardized format for members to access. They must be made available on an open access website effective July 1, 2022.
Self-funded and Level-funded groups are responsible for posting the applicable carrier link below on a publicly available website.
