POSITION:

The Media Planner position at Verde is charged with researching, building, trafficking and otherwise executing media plans on behalf of Paid Division clients. Along with researching and building media plans based on client goals and target demographics, the Media Planner position serves as the primary liaison between Verde Brand Communications and advertising sales representatives. A Media Planner will also be a liaison with clients and provide strategic advice in a secondary role working with a more senior strategist. Media Planning will include: representation on behalf of the client, data management, audience profiling, negotiation, purchasing, trafficking, link building and reporting for Verde’s clients. This individual should possess expertise in paid media, localization, segmentation and analytics. A highly organized professional is sought for this role. Cross-functional collaboration across multiple departments will be paramount in this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Publisher relationship management

  • Data acquisition

  • Ongoing outward facing communications

  • Proactive nurturing of relationships

  • Bill and invoice tracking

  • Media kit compilation

  • Audience profiling, including researching demographic profiles based on general data-tracking services and trade-data services.

  • Negotiating for preferred rates, space and add-ons

  • Campaign calendaring

  • Following mechanical specs and submission guidelines

  • Link optimization

  • Reporting

  • Account financial liaison and integration – Ensure services provided are profitable to the agency

  • Trafficking – Being a liaison on lead times and specs between clients and publishers to manage media deadlines

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Work well with teams

  • 3 years digital marketing and paid media experience, including research and tracking skills

  • Experience with media-planning software and planning tools

  • Familiarity with all forms of media, including digital/interactive

  • Familiarity with outdoor market & outdoor recreation

  • Action-oriented and motivated

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Proactive and professional
